General Patton
General Patton was a good strong leader that help America though the war. But like anyone else he had his own faults. If you ever do get the chance to talk to someone who knew him at one point in time they would say that one of his major faults were that he could not keep he mouth shut. General Patton was born on the 11th of November, 1945. This some to be General was an A straight student and was to be considered to be very clever and bold for he age. These traits paid off for his later in life accomplishments. General Patton joined the Army right out of high school. He served all though World War One. He decided to stay in the service. He slowly began to promote and by WWll he was a General. Before D-D ay he went to the hospital to award his soldiers with different awards. On his way out he had seen a soldier just sitting there shacking. So he turned to the doctor and asked what was wrong with him and the doctor replied that the man had shell shock. General Patton said to the soldier that was no good reason to be taking up space in the hospital. When the soldier was trying to defend himself, General Patton slaps the private and yelled orders to have the soldier shipped out of there and to be demoted. Patton was then “punished” by not being allowed to take any part in the actual D-day. On June 6 1944, Patton was sitting on the shores of England at the head of a fake army. He was part of the largest and most successful deception operation of World War II. Operation Quicksilver was part of a larger deception plan called Operation Fortitude South/Operation Bodyguard. The plan was used to cloak the buildup of the Allied Army and disguise the destination of the invasion. Later closer to the end of the war Hitter was planning to invade one of Frances supply locations. Patton saw this and started to make plans right away. Two days before the attack Patton moved in and saved the supply unit. So after the war general Patton died from car accident related injuries on December 12th, 1945. Patton was 60 and had lived his life to the fullest.
