Parapsychology is the study of alleged evidence for psychological phenomena that are inexplicable by science. The term parapsychology was made by a psychologist in 1889 when he wrote the article “Die Parapsychology. The field is broken in to three categories: telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition and telekinesis. Telepathy is the ability to communicate information across space by the power of the mind alone. Telekinesis is the ability to move objects and predictions of the future. Clairvoyance or precognition is the ability to learn about future events which have not yet actually occurred. The interesting aspect of the field is that, it is almost impossible to research; and the ability to perform some act or acquire some knowledge in the absence of scientific laws or means.
The field of parapsychology proposes significant contradictions to scientific principles. The 1st is that future events cannot affect the present before they occur, 2nd a persons mind cannot affect the material world without the mediation of some physical energy or force. 3rd one person cannot know the content of a second persons mind except through the observation of speech or behavior.4th a persons personality cannot obtain knowledge of a distant point in space without sensory experience of that point or the transmission of energy. 5th a persons personality and memories are dependent upon the existence and proper functioning of their physical brain. In order for parapsychology to exist, the fundamentals of the laws of physics and knowledge of matter and energy that is claimed in the field has to provide a great deal of evidence. The evidence that supports the scientific laws of today is reinforced by a lot of evidence; Major evidence would be needed to conclude that they are incorrect or incomplete. Parapsychology is a pseudoscience not actually science. In order to be classified as a science, the principle of falsifiability must be applicable. According to Sir Karl Popper, philosopher of science, the ability to falsify a theory as oppose to verify it makes it science. The in ability to prove parapsychology false makes it a pseudoscience. Supporters of a theory must provide a possibility that it is false. The theory must have scientific structure so that it can be demonstrated through experiments. Experiments are designed to test for exactly that
