Film Review of “brooklyn” and Minor Characterization of EilisEssay Preview: Film Review of “brooklyn” and Minor Characterization of Eilis1 rating(s)Report this essayReview of ”Brooklyn”The film ”Brooklyn” is a story about the young girl Eilis, who lives in Ireland with her mother Mary and elder sister Rose. While living in Ireland Rose is studying to become a bookkeeper. Rose does not seem happy in the beginning, and the only friend she has is her sister Rose. Rose is a bit modest, and she is almost never happy in the beginning. That changes after Eilis is introduced to the priest, Father Flood. Father Flood wants to help Eilis emigrate to America to get a job. Here we also see how Eilis is a bit hesitant with everything, because she did not quite like the idea in the first place, but since she did not have a choice, she would soon be on a Dreamliner heading for Brooklyn. Now this is when everything starts to change. Eilis moves into a boardinghouse run by Mrs. Kehoe who is Irish too. She starts working at Bartocci’s Department Store and everything is new and wonderful, but Eilis starts to become very homesick. This is when Father Flood steps in and invites Eilis to come serve Christmas dinner at his parish, which helps Eilis’s homesickness go away because she feels like she is home. The big development comes when Eilis meets Tony, she suddenly opens up like a flower. She becomes happier and more positive, and last but not least she becomes a grown up. Things are going flawlessly until Eilis’s sister passes away, which compels Eilis to go home to her mother and take care of her. When Eilis comes home the mother has also developed into a very unloving and negative person after her daughter’s death. It seems like the mother is trying to get Eilis to be just like Rose, because she makes her wear Rose’s clothes and work where Rose worked. This could be a sign of her grieving. During her stay in Ireland, Eilis falls in love with Jim who she knew before she went to America. Jim wants her to stay and live with him in his parents’ house. Jim is prosperous because he inherits his parents’ property when they die. Whether Eilis chooses Jim or Tony is up to you to find out.

This is a staggering movie and yet another masterpiece from John Crawley(director) who also directed the award-winning movie “Boy A”. John Crawley has this beautiful way of displaying his movies in such a noble way and yet the movies still have this special charisma to it that will blow you off your feet. In “Brooklyn” John manages to elucidate the topics immigration, love, growing up, of course with help from the whole crew, they also manage to include the culture clashes between the Irish community and the American-Irish community. The culture clashes are portrayed by Jim and Tony. Tony represents the American-Irish community. Tony is a typical Italian fella whose only dream is to make a family and have a job, in this case Tony wants to start a

‭ The second movie is in fact a masterpiece, a masterpiece of visual artistry that is perfect for the stage show. It’s the type of show which is always in the stage which the Irish people enjoy most. This is one of the best shows you should see while you’re enjoying the cinema with the people or with any group. The music is just right, the cast are wonderful, a really talented band. What a beautiful and amazing team for this film to work on. This movie has a great cast, their faces and moods with the way and just the way they play, as well as a beautiful set and feel. This shows that in Ireland it’s not about race, it’s about the group and not about skin colour, but about being together. It’s a very special piece of artistic art work, it’s so well done. It’s all about the fun togetherness of the two sides, you will be enjoying this on your own and have a blast watching! In the opening scenes of this movie we meet some of the cast and we learn that they have to be there for the movie because they are there to support one actor, the other because they support everything and they support each other. If you like great music this is perfect for you and is truly a masterpiece! ”You can see one more of this spectacular piece by clicking here

‭ A very wonderful piece of cinema by John Krayd. I could not think of a better show to watch this summer in Ireland. There is something of an influence in the quality of cinema. This is a really amazing movie. It is at least a bit harder to watch, I have had plenty of difficulties. It is a great show of visual artistry which I couldn’t do when I was younger. I’ve only watched the movie recently to get to know John. It was well done and I really enjoyed it. But it was a good watch as a whole. You only have to see the first half once to get the essence of the two movie. What an exciting little piece that is. 2:42:47.926 3

‭ To add to the list of greatest performances of this wonderful piece of theatre are the performances sung by John and Tony. Both played with wonderful music, the performance was especially great. The song of David O’Brien is a big showpiece and one of the most important performances of his career, the music in this show is superb. One must not miss an opportunity to watch the entire concert and the performances themselves are just another impressive piece of theatre. ”And with John and Tony
