Unfortunately due to her hectic schedule the shop runs out of inventory at times. With no inventory system currently being used at the shop it is sometimes almost impossible to not forget little things when shopping for supplies. This is a problem as customers can get disappointed when the product that they ordered is temporarily out of stock at the shop. If there was an inventory system that kept better track of the supplies rather than using a guessing game these Problems could be avoided all together.. It is being proposed that you will consider the implementation of a new inventory system.
If there was an inventory system that kept better track of the supplies rather than using a guessing game the possibility of ever accidentally running out of any inventory could be eliminated altogether. A system that could notify the owner of when something was getting low, rather than when it has already ran out could improve the business greatly. There are over 200 different flavors and items that need to be stocked at all times at the shop. Keeping track of every single item without a proper system has proved to be very hard and basically impossible at times. A proper inventory system is needed to help manage the use of items and keep track of what is needed and when.
For this inventory system to run smoothly there will be a few personnel that will have key roles in the execution of the program. The owner/ operator is the most important personnel that will be involved. It will be her job to enter the inventory information into the system so that it is able to keep track of everything. It will also be her job to take the inventory list once the program has executed it and go buy the supplies that are needed. The other personnel involved will be the employees. It will be their jobs to keep track of the inventory information that will be entered into the system by the owner. Without them tracking the inventory as they use it there will be no valid information to enter into the program. Both roles will be very important in making sure the program is executed
It will be very important for the team to be able to understand the program. It will be very important for personnel to have information from the inventory to interpret.
Each item in the inventory will have specific information for its position and it is important to help the team understand what the inventory is meant for. This will help as well as help as more information goes into how items are packaged or what the types of materials are.
