Comparison Organization and EthicsComparison Organization and EthicsIn todays world, community organizations not only provide a place where individuals can go for fun or knowledge, these organizations also provide an asset to the community for various reasons. Organizations are important to the community, society and individuals that they represent. Organizations have a social responsibility to be ethical and moral. Individuals provide important input into organizations that help shape the entity and contribute to values and priorities of the group. Factors that influence the social responsibility of organizations can have positive and negative impacts. Organizations are held to a high standard by the community they represent and as such need to take into account that responsibility when making key decisions that will have an impact on the community, the resources, and funding for various project and initiatives that they wish to carry out. Six organizations were researched and this paper will help understand difference and similarities between them and their impact on social initiatives.

Overview of OrganizationsEach organization reported on helps the community in which they are a part of. The Broward Country Community Center and the Fort Campbell’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Center are community centers that benefit the whole community by doing multiple tasks. The Palmer Home for Children is an organization in the community that helps kids by giving them education, work, a family experience, fun activities to do, and freedom. The Minnesota Environmental Organization is a community organization that helps to take care of the wildlife, bodies of water, forests, and other outdoor lands. The organization is there to preserve and protect the outdoors for the future of Minnesota. The House of Neighborly Services is an organization in Berthoud that provide benefits and service to the elderly and poor. The Thurber House in Columbus, OH is a community organization that provides literature for education and entertainment in the community.

Similarities in the OrganizationsAfter thoroughly analyzing the organizational profiles of our learning team members, there are a few similarities that exist between them. The similarities between the profiles stress cooperation and collaboration among the community. They share common beliefs in constituencies, intersecting programs and similar visions for a stronger community. They place a high value upon support and participation by constituents and the community. They are mandated to operate an open management governed by community representatives. They depend upon citizens for input and support, most work with clients is done as a form of “co-production” – dependent

. The benefits ” co-production;” co-production provide the backbone of our organization, so that all the members are responsible for what we do: the production of ideas, the coordination of meetings, the management of staff, and the use of funds.
