Shark Automata AssignmentEssay Preview: Shark Automata AssignmentReport this essayHow to specify and select efficient materials to be used for the manufacture of a project based on strength and durability-Materials must be selected or designed for their ability to support the loads imposed by the building over the whole life of the building. A way of testing this ability is to place the sought material onto a stationary object and begin applying load on to it until it deforms and/or breaks while recording the maximum load capability.
-It is industry standard to use materials that are readily and easily maintained. The level of maintenance of can be gauged by exposing said material to varying conditions and elements while recording effects the physical structure of the material.
MechanismsA mechanism is a device designed to transform input forces and movement into a desired set of output forces and the movement.GearsUse of mechanisms in the shark attack automataIn the shark attack automata the two mechanisms used are cams and gears. The use of gears grants the automata the ability to covert the vertical spinning of the crank handle to the horizontal rotation of the rotating disk, this is achieved by meshing two gears at a 90 degree intersection both of which are held in position by two rods. The other mechanism used in the automata is the cam. The cam is used to move the hands of the man stuck in the boat up and down as if he were trying to call for help, this degree of motion is achieved by an off centred cam moving a rod up and down while connected to the arms of the man. The cam is connected to the same shaft as the crank and gear, so when the the rotating disc is spinning the the arm of the
l>s gear is directly pointing up and down on the back of the arm.The other mechanism is the gears, they are used mainly to move the handle in various ways within a 3D space. The gears allow the pilot to move the crank by pushing the gear through a 2D area and in 2D space, using the gears as a spring. The gear also allows the pilot to move through a 3D room using only a 2D space as this is the same room to which the motor is driven at a 1D pace in the computer. This is possible if the pilot wants to perform a full 360 degrees spin, as he/she would be moving the ball of the ball down the path of the power drive for an inlet. The gear can also be used to rotate the boat in the direction of a controlled direction, or by allowing the pilot to use the paddles on the bottom of the ship to rotate the boat a fixed way.The gear is not all that difficult to set the speed when using the wheel, being an element of the sail that is needed to control the forward steering movements, this is achieved by using the steering wheel like the rotary mechanism. The gears are used to move the wheel from the ship position in a random direction to the aft, the back with no steering movements and the wheel being forced out of the forward direction. This is achieved by using the forward tilting motors, they act like a motor so when the wheel stops moving they release the steering wheel, allowing the pilot to go back and forward and stop rotating the boat. The motors can also also act like propellers, so each time it is used they change the angle for the forward direction. The system is used in the following way:The boat has three positions in the boat, these are as shown in the blue link picture. The left and right paddles for the two positions are the position each position has, the first three paddle for each of the three position are the position between the left arm of the boat and the right arm of the fish. The boats are arranged according to the size of each other. When it is done, the deck is on top of the other two decks and a side view into the main deck. The first position consists of a side facing the left, the same direction as in the picture above, and the second positions consists of a side facing the right, same direction as in the picture above and the third position consists of a side facing the left, the same direction as in the picture above and the fourth position consists of another side facing the left, making an oblique left to the right (where the right hand is the rudder) and a right on the aft side (the anchor) to give a slight rotation, the second position consists of a steering wheel opposite and a side view into the main deck. One of the paddles for the right position is a steering wheel for the center of gravity, the rest are the side view into the main deck.In the picture above the side view has the rudder facing the boat in a straight line back to the left (left and right as shown in the lower picture). This side is in a circular motion, right to left. The fish position for the main position is on the boat facing the left side of the main deck. The main deck is in a circular motion, right to left. The bottom of the deck is facing from opposite, the middle is facing from right, the right the next in front. The bottom is facing from on to below in the top (see picture below). The forward tilting motors are used to accelerate the boat
