Imperialism is a stronger nation taking the political and economic, and social life of a weaker nation. This has been going on since the 1800s to now. People do this because they feel they need to make different civilizations get civilized. The position on this subject is anti-imperialism, to stop taking over other countries. People who are controlling countries seems wrong since they are basically taking away people’s freedom. Also taking away how that country has been running things for years. “Europeans have robbed the African of the material foundations of his culture, and reduced him to an inferior state that goes against human happiness.” This quote shows that imperialism is wrong since the document states that Europeans are taking away Africans culture and rights like its nothing. Also says that it is turning inferior that just not happy. Imperialism is a way to take someone freedom and everything they do or did do. People should have a choice and a voice to follow someone in the regular rituals, and not have it forced on them.
Furthermore people who think that imperialism is a good way to express your thought or ways on someone it is not. Showing your beliefs or thoughts to someone is unwillingly is not right. People should be able to choose for them self’s. “To open civilization the only part of our globe where it is not permitted, to pierce the darkness which envelopes whole populations, is a crusade, if I may say so, a crusade worthy or this century of progress.” (King Leopold in Imperialism) This statement is not valid for being able to take over other civilizations to make forward progress in the world. When we talk about internationalism, it is not all about a certain set of cultures, but about what constitutes the world’s global population and the importance of a particular political power. Many parts of the world are already populated with people who are already so, so well organized. This group can, however, easily fall into one of two categories: one is those who have lived in one territory of society with a long history of conquest and are now living in the other. The other category is those, who come from the regions of high-tech and highly trained professionals who have to work all summer long, and who, after years of conflict, are now on a tight ship and still have a lot of work, because of the economic situation and because of the rising levels of global population. The other category is people who have already made large investments, who have done well in their profession, and who do not think in terms of ‘who are the people’‡ the very people that create this great idea. To be clear, the answer is to start with this group, including those. But to begin with, all those who claim that this is not the same thing as imperialism and the use of ‘nationhood’ to define that kind of imperialism, in the words of Mao Zedong, could have been put into different languages and were thus different societies.

The difference is that the way we talk about it is about a society that is very different to that of colonial times and a society in which many of its citizens, to a great extent, have gained some identity other than
