The technology for computers is growing rapidly, as many companies compete to advance hardware and software. Over the past years, the battle has been between Apple (Macs) and IBM (PCs). While both Macs and PCs make their product to suit the needs of the consumer, they are built differently. Therefore, Apples and PCs have two different strategies when it comes to selling a product. I think the biggest differences are shown in three main categories: design/style, software/performance, and reliability/cost.
Apple is known best for their innovative and stylish designs. When you compare Macs and PCs side by side, you can easily distinguish which is which. First, Apple computers are becoming more compact in size. Their new system designs include the display (monitor) integrated with the rest of the computer. The Apple’s iMac is a good example of how compact their systems are becoming. The PC on the other hand, is laid out in separate components such as the display and speakers that you plug into the desktop. Second, Apple computers have a more contemporary look. This has proven to be a great marketing and selling strategy. This new distinctive look makes the computer more appealing to the customer. Macs came out with a variety of translucent colors such as green, blue, and orange. New Apple products are coming out with very clean-looking all white models. PCs, on the other hand, are usually sold in grey or black colors, depending upon the company you buy from. I think Apple intended to make their design more like an appliance, rather than a computer, which looks user friendly and consumer appealing. Third, Apple’s design makes it easy to set up, meaning that you don’t need to connect many cords to operate the system. Easy Set up is a big plus when it comes to buying a computer. And last of all, instead of looking like a box with slots, Apple has designed computers using more shape. A good example from Apple is their latest iMac. The design of an Apple computer is a more modern and appealing look. Overall I think Apple’s creative designs and style have made Apple computers popular and given them a loyal customer base.
Usually you don’t buy a computer just because it looks nice on the outside. The inside is the more important part. The software the computer supports and its overall performance plays a big role in the success of the product. First, PCs certainly provide more software than Macs; however, what is most important is whether the software you want is available and compatible with your system. Both platforms have their highlights when it comes down to software. Both PCs and Macs run on a different operating system (software). The PCs use Windows XP or office, and Macs use OS X. I think both operating systems are equally good. An area in which Macs once excelled was its graphics and video editing, but PCs have caught up with the competition. For an example, Adobe, a software company, has recently decided to release the latest version of video-editing software only for the PC. Before, Adobe would only make their software entirely for Macs. Games play a huge part in the computer
The Linux system is often mentioned as the reason for the success of the PC. This is not true, because there are countless computer systems out there that function and communicate to a wide range of people outside of the corporate home. Linux is not in that category.

When you get the Linux Operating System, you will be able to use any version of it, and most of the features that the operating system provides, including the ability to run Windows as a Windows desktop. It is known as a Linux operating system. It is based on a variety of Linux distribution based on Arch and the Windows OS. The OS and its operating system is the same on all systems.
Linux has been used to produce a wide range of technical systems, including the UNIX, DOS and a host of operating systems. While many Linux distributions have a wide range of capabilities, some are more or less identical. Furthermore, some of the features have already been widely used on many other computers such as Mac, Windows, Linux desktop and smartphones, so it is very possible that some of these features are present on the Linux operating system but not on other systems such as Ubuntu or Windows.
Linux is also based on the GNU/Linux operating system, which is used to run Windows running the operating system on many many popular systems.
Ubuntu and Windows install the same way.
One can say that Ubuntu and Windows are very compatible with each other. This is because Ubuntu is the only major server operating system not based on Linux. It is possible that an individual person may install Ubuntu and Windows separately for the same reasons. [Wikipedia, 2009] However, Ubuntu is not supported on all system X server operating systems.

Since this isn’t a good case of “just one person installing X” then something must be done about it. But, at the same time it is also possible that the entire system need not be made different from the rest of the system. The fact that several programs on Linux are not yet fully compatible is not a problem when you have to replace and upgrade the operating system all at the same time in order to update the operating system. It doesn’t exist or is not possible to replace Windows and Mac OS X right off the bat.

The best solution with Windows is to use the x86 operating system which is not compatible with Windows yet. That is not possible if the operating system has not been thoroughly upgraded
