Saving Private RyanSaving Private RyanThe movie “Saving Private Ryan” is not your typical World War II movie. It is about the triumph of the United States over Germany but rather the focus on how horrific the effects of war are on those participating, not only physically but also mentally. What I liked about this film is the fact that it is not the plot that brings the emotions of the audience but the scenes of war and the interactions and dialogue of the soldiers involved. From this movie we get as close to a first hand portrayal of what took place for those who participated in World War II. We also get an aspect of war that has never been portrayed on film before. We also get an aspect of war that has never been portrayed on the Internet and we are introduced to an older American soldier who can only recall his face in the pictures. I love it! The movie‒” is just like other movies that have seen the end of Hitler and his German armies, but it is a first time experience of what one of the Germans actually went through. When the movie comes to life I can see the movie at a glance like a modern day zombie horror film. But there are much more. It is the movie that shows you that a war has not died because it is unending and has lasted, and the characters were chosen based on their strengths and abilities. You get to see the soldiers and soldiers and in real time these people experience a life as tough, strong and courageous and this movie makes these soldiers feel like part of something much larger than the sum of their parts.
