In the American revolution we see two viewpoints made by the colonies and Great Britain before the war.Both sides had some great advantages and disadvantages throughout the war. In the end this led to the revolutionary war.
Great Britain had some advantages and some disadvantages towards the war. Great Britain advantages towards the war was a well trained army that fought against the colonial army and won so many times. Another advantage is that they had a strong centralized government which was centered around the king of England. Great Britain had the ability to hire hessians which were European soldiers who were paid to fight for Britain.another advantage is that they had a large navy to fight the Colonial Army. In Great Britain had a large population of 11 million people who are citizens of Britain. Also Great Britain had some disadvantages towards the war to. Some of the disadvantages were during the war they increased the National debt because of war payments. The next disadvantage was that they underestimated the colonist resistance and they had to fight on unfamiliar terrain. Many of the soldiers deserted the navy and the army which made them very weak.While Britain was fighting the colonies they were also were fighting France and Spain for control. Britain fighting the colonies so much that they became so much of a distance between England and America.
On the other side of the waters we see the colonies arguing over the unfairness that the king has done to them with all of the taxes he put on the goods such as tea, paper, glass and bottles. We see that the colonies had some advantages and some disadvantages during this war. The colonist advantages were under Washington’s leadership there was various battle victories in his battle strategies.
