What are the cause and effects of divorce, and how do they differ in Vietnam and the United States?WHAT IS THE DIVORCE?A divorce is a legal action between married people to terminate their marriage relationship. It can be referred to as dissolution of marriage and is basically, the legal action that ends the marriage before the death of either spouse. Divorce is may even help to preserve the moral boundaries of marriageTHE COMMON CAUSES OF DIVORCE IN VIETNAM AND US:Young ages: Marriage at a very young age increases the likelihood of divorce, especially in the early years of marriage. Those who marry in their teens have much higher divorce rates. Some of they are still a student, lack of soft skills in life and still enjoy too much care and attention from their parent, which make them selfish people. In their marriage life, they lack altruism and patience and they often resort to divorce or separationPremarital childbearing and pregnancy:  Pregnancy and childbearing prior to marriage significantly increase the likelihood of future divorce. In America, more than one-third (37%) of children are born to parents who are not married, and few of these parents eventually marry. Most of those parents will separate before the child begins school, and some will never really get together. Vietnam’s rate of unwed births is one of the lowest in the nation but nowadays it is increase dramatically. Finances: Its not usually the lack of finances that causes the divorce, but the lack of compatibility in the financial arena. Opposites can attract but when two people are opposites in the financial department, divorce often ensues. Imagine the conflict if one is a saver and one is a spender. One is focused on the future while the other believes in living for today. One has no problem buying on credit, while the other believes in saving up for what one wants. Over time, this conflict can reach such heights that divorce seems to be the only logical conclusion.  Inability to resolve conflicts: Every couple has disagreements. The key is to develop ground rules so that each partner feels respected and heard. Sometimes it takes a third party “referee” to help define those rules and teach us to move through the charged emotions so resentments dont linger.Divorce is may even help to preserve the moral boundaries of marriageTHE DIFFERENT EFFECT OF DIVORCE IN VIETNAM AND USIn the United States, researchers estimate that 40%–50% of all first marriages will end in divorce or permanent separation. The risk of divorce is even higher for second marriages, about 60% while in Vietnam percent of marriage end in divorce increase dramatically in recent years but Vietnam’s divorce rate still is one of the lowest in the nation. It’s extremely different in Vietnam and Us.
