Science Fair Proposal: Using Physics to create a makeshift water tapIntroduction:  In this science fair, we decided to do an experiment about making a water station that is can be used in camping. This water station is generally used for washing hands and other uses. It uses force to allow the water station to work. In our experiment, we are going to be testing how the weight on the string affect the flow of the water? This model can also be related to how the wind mill work, by using the force from the wind.Research question:How the weight on the stick affect the flow of the water?Aim:The aim of this experiment is to understand the relationship between the force used and the amount of water flowed out. This will help us understand how does force by simple things can be used for green technology, allowing people to be less dependent on electricity that many of our technology uses today. At the moment of putting the weight on the string, start the timer. Observe the water flowing out of the hose. After one min is finished, take out the pail and use the measuring cup/beaker to measure the amount of water that flowed out. Jot down your results in your tableRepeat steps 1-5 for the other weights and trialsDiagram:Safety Precaution:Be careful where you are walking when you are doing the experiment. Make sure you do not trip over the string, allowing the whole water station to fall on you.When setting up the water station, make sure to have a teammate or an adult supervision around you.
