But it is not too late to get back to living in a healthy more pure environment. Owners, managers, and employees of businesses and big corporations can help reduce and even reverse the damage that has been done over the years. Many companies have joined the effort to go green; they are joining the effort by either changing their business plan to become green or others are starting off green since day one. However, many companies only market green but do not actually manufacture green products, this is called greenwashing. Becoming a green business helps the environment and is really good for business. The more customers feel that a business the same goals as they do the more customers will come back. Employees are a big part of implementing green business practices. Employees make up the culture of a business. Encouraging green business practices make a business a more appealing place to work for; because people see green businesses as ethical. Green businesses save money on energy, paper costs, and even receive money from recycling old office supplies and equipment. Again this helps the environment and the business. Green businesses practices have already started repairing the damage to the earth. There has been research stating that the hole in the earth’s ozone layer is shrinking.
IntroductionFor every member of society, is it important to know that the carbon footprint the human race has left on the planet has damaged the natural resources that humans, plants, and animals rely on in order to survive. Going green not only helps the environment, but it is also good for business in so many different ways; going green means less waste, less energy use, and fewer chemicals in the earth’s water, soil, and oxygen. Although it is going to take many years for the earth to recover, if human beings continue to practice green business, the damage that has been done can come to a halt and may even be able to be reversed. It took millions of years for the earth to get this way it will take double the time to get it back to being a healthy environment. What is Green Marketing?People have to be careful not to be fooled into thinking they are buying environmentally safe products. Many companies use green marketing as a way to reel customers in. Companies often put slogans on their products suggesting they are manufactured green when I all reality they are not.“Many people believe that green marketing refers solely to the promotion or advertising of products with environmental characteristics. Generally terms like Phosphate Free, Recyclable, Refillable, Ozone Friendly, and Environmentally Friendly are some of the things consumers most often associate with green marketing” (Tiwari, Durgesh, Mani Tripathi, & Srivastava, 2011).
