Although not a member of the group, his friend, Steve Voss, was his mentor during his early days in the group. During the mid 1990s, they worked together at a cafe called “In the Village” and began photographing women while together. During a trip to Los Angeles they took a group of men and women working side by side and photographing women as well. This group included such Hollywood stars like Roger Moore, Lenny Bruce, Sharon Stone, Al Pacino, and many of the most recognizable people on film. These men and women also started their careers as “The Artists” and became more of a “progressive” group after joining. Their work became so significant and inspiring that, for the first time since the era of the so-called “Stray Boys,” they became known as the “Women’s Art Directors”. As more and more of these women was involved to the point of death as children, so it was that their portraits turned into more beautiful works of art. Many of these portraits are currently being exhibited in The International Gallery in Milan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Spain, Israel, and New York.
