PLAN FOR TOURIST BUSINESS
Since Pak Nai is close to Lau Fau Shan where is already a famous destination for day tour in Northwest NT, it has the potential to be developed as another spot for eco-tourism.

In order to keep the environment and ecology not to be ruined by the proposed tourist business, widening the road leading from Lau Fau Shan to Pak Lai is not recommended in order to avoid attracting property development in the vicinity and to limit the numbers of tourist.

Nevertheless, it is considered more environmental-friendly to construct a cycle track and promenade to link Pak Nai, Lau Fau Shan and those BBQ areas with fishing ponds in-between together.

Environmental aspect
As it is only about 5 kilometers from Lau Fau Shan to Pak Nai, it will not be so physically demanding to ride on a bicycle or walk to Pak Nai from Lau Fau Shan on the cycle track or promenade. Tourists can relax and enjoy the scenes of the shoal of Pak Lai on the cycle track and promenade with less noise, dust and combustion products generated from vehicles.

The construction of the cycle track and promenade will not produce as much construction waste as widening the existing road and will cause lesser disturbance to the environment.

As the cycle track and promenade will not likely attract property development, the landscape of the area can be preserved despite the development of the tourist business.

Moreover, the flow of tourists generated by the cycle track and promenade will not be as much as that by the widened road, disturbance to existing ecology and environment is expected to be a minimal.

Economic aspect
