After reading this letter and our class discussion, I think the need for vaccinations are very important because it will prevent people from getting diseases. Vaccines can prevent children and parents from getting diseases and spreading it to each other or other people. I think vaccinations are needed in our community and are very important because some diseases are more serious than others. Some diseases have more serious symptoms. Diseases like a cold aren’t that bad because the symptoms are just a runny nose and a cough. But diseases like pertussis can have more serious symptoms such as death. Although symptoms of pertussis start off like a common cold with a cough and fever,but it can turn into rapid coughs and thick, clear mucous can be discharged from your body.
