For the past two cycles I have been interning at Olivia Miller Inc. Olivia Miller is a casual footwear brand that specializes in designing shoes for women and children. I worked under the direction of Deanna Rastvorov as a showroom assistant.
My daily duties ran the gamut. Although there were days that I would come in and make copies for an hour, I experienced a lot of different things. I was taught how to use Microsoft Excel which is a program that has always intrigued me. Another program that I learned was VPR. VPR is an order entry program. Every order that a buyer places has to be entered into VPR. Another popular assignment that I would get was compiling and shipping packages. When a company is looking to buy shoes they receive a sample of the products. I would collect samples to send to companys, take a picture of the items, include necessary information, and then ship it out.
