I started attending Korean Community Church in February 2011. One Sunday service, I heard the pastors announcement about the mission trip. The mission team had planned to go to Paraguay again. I had a strong feeling in my heart to sign up for the mission trip. I knew that this opportunity to go a mission trip for the first time would be an honor to serve God. I knew from the past missionaries team, the trip was focused on the spiritually gifts and teaching the English language in Paraguay. I didnt know what to except going on the mission trip, I just had to put faith in God.

I signed up to be part of the Paraguay mission team to go to Yrybucua, Paraguay. The most difficult part of the trips requirement was raising $600. I knew that there were a few donations from friends and family. But, that didnt cover the full amount. I had to find parents who were willing to have a babysitter. With the support of many church members who have asked me to babysit their children, helped me raise $600. It was hard working for money I had to raise, but in the end it was worth it.

A week before going to Paraguay, I learned that prayer has power. The support amongst the staff members and youth group was tremendous. The parents and close friends were the prayer warriors. I never imagined how the big my heart was going to open up to serve God. Words cant explain the gratitude towards the prayers from family members and friends.

There were many highlights from the trip to Paraguay. God was willing to show the team of his undying love for his children. It was the moment when we stepped out of the van; I strongly felt Gods presence over the community. We were greeted by the children of God. The children approached us with open arms and gave us the biggest smile. Their heartwarming personality to meet new people, and learn about Gods Kingdom was an eye-opening experience. Our team was blessed with this opportunity not just to learn about Gods Kingdom, but also to have fellowship with one another.

The experience of witnessing a childs faith in God is what really grounded me in the crazy power of pray. Pablo, the eight year old child met with our team. Pablo told the team about his brothers injury. Joseph had back pains after his injury on the soccer field and his family couldnt afford to go to the hospital. The childs only hope was God. Pablos family prayed to God that he would help heal Joseph. All of us who prayed for Josephs injury found out he was feeling great then ever. Josephs family believes that God has heard their prayer for healing. We were the disciples of the Lord to help Pablos family.

God has worked through each and every one of us in the team. We have got to work with children and adults to learn the language of English. Every day for three hours, we taught the children various ways of learning the English language.
