I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (1-12) Review
There are some main characters in this story. They are Margueritte, Bailey Johnson, Jr., Annie Henderson, Willy Johnson, Vivian Baxter, Big Bailey Johnson, and Mr. Freeman.
Margueritte is a black girl coming from a broken home. Her parents decided to divorce and sent her also his brother (Bailey) to Annies House (her grandmother) in Arkansas. There, she found that people did segregation between the whites and blacks. Something which can be managed by the whites cannot be counterfeited by the blacks. Thus, the blacks were limited and separated from the whites area. Maya is a good girl but at chapter 12, she lied that the mistake of Mr Freemans rape was derived only from him but actually she also did mistake.
Bailey Johnson is Marguerittes elder brother. He does love to her sister because the only sister who he has is Maya and vice versa. Bailey is a good boy that he never hurts anybody, he prevents her sister from many kinds of atrocities and he understands his sister very much. However in the last he is prevaricated by her sister about Mr Freemans raping her.
Annie Handerson is a pious woman. She often teaches Maya and Bailey by using christianity. She is a stout-hearted woman that when there are three teenagers mocking her, she just received their deed and prayed that she would get the joy then. She often sings and her song was always related to christianity.
Willy Johnson is Annie Handersons son. He was handicap that he was crippled. He became a butt of joke due to his disability. However, he was like her mother, a stout-hearted man.
Vivian Baxter is Maya and Baileys mother. She is a pretty woman. She has a well-known family. She is the warmest one in her family since her brothers are those who have meanness. She is a good-hearted mother that when Margueritte was sick, she stayed beside her and took care of her. In this story Maya knows that she works as a nurse meanwhile she never wears her nurse uniform after 20 years Maya comes to her house.
