Selection Structure
location schedule for that particular day.
The Selection Structure to be used is the single alternative structure. This structure is the simplest structure to use for a relatively small business with few employees. The single alternative structure will only activate once the employee logs into the system by swiping their I.D. Badge and entering their name. Once the I.D. badge is swiped and the employees name entered, the selection structure begins. If the I.D. badge or the name is not entered correctly the selective structure will not respond correctly.
Example If the employee swipes their badge and enter their name the employee will be asked a few questions about their hours. If the hours are not a full 8 hours, the selective structure will skip over one selection of the selective structure process and then prepare a schedule that is appropriate for that employee and the hours.

Employees often work overtime causing the company to want to track all overtime in its transportation department. Pay rate will be created to include the overtime that is lacking currently. Once this has been created the scheduling portion of the program can be written. With the creation of the pay rate with overtime the system can become more familiar with each employee, each location that the specific employees designated area of transporting. This will also enable the system to become familiar with each employee and their rate of pay.
Currently the employee does not login upon arrival to work. The goal is to create a software program that is able to connect the time clock to the computer for immediate printout of employee hours worked. The time clock will receive data from the employee, letting the program document when the employee
