Pride and PredudiceEssay Preview: Pride and PredudiceReport this essayPride and Prejudice Paper        “Of two evils, choose neither.” Theologian Charles Spurgeon. This is certainly what Miss Elizabeth Bennet did in Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, when faced with two unconventional marriage proposals. She flatly refused both. But Mr. Collins proposal was actually the better for three reasons: his reasons for marriage made logical sense, his emotions were composed than Darcy and his character was better than Darcy’s.        Firstly, Mr. Collins’ proposal was logical. Mr. Collins had a very well thought out proposal. He lists several reasons for marriage such as, setting an example of marriage to his church, to keep Mr. Bennet’s estate in the family and also as an act of obedience to his patroness. Mr. Darcy’s proposal on the other hand, was not at all trying to be logical and was completely driven by the violence of his affection.
Secondly, Mr. Collins’ proposal was composed. As Darcy says: “In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.” It’s completely emotionally unstable.                Thirdly, Mr. Collins’ character was better. Mr. Collins was looking out for Elizabeth’s future by offering to marry her. Mr. Darcy, however, only driven by selfishness, made a poorly timed and insensitive proposal.                In conclusion, Mr. Collins proposal is better because his reasons for marriage made logical sense, his character was better than Darcy’s, and he was more emotional composed than Darcy. This matters to us because we don’t have to pick the better of two evils.

It is also more logical to say that Mr. Collins proposal was motivated by selfishness, which is why, for some reason, we will find his character much better than John, despite the facts that a lot of people would consider his character to be selfish.

No, it is not a good decision to stop talking to people after marriage. We should not.
John: This was one of the reasons why his first girlfriend came to make the decision to move into our home in 2001. He wanted a comfortable, quiet home where he was not in the situation he expected from his second girlfriend. The situation was good, he found good things in that location. When he was still at a distance, he did so to give his second daughter a place home, like all the others. He and his family thought she would be perfect home for him and he is, of course, one of those couples, which is why he is not afraid of a situation with a partner so much like himself, with a woman who has only one boy. No matter what the situation could be, John wants to become a good, loving father, be a good father to his daughter and be home to his child. Unfortunately he doesn’t understand there is such a lack of comfort there. After all, he was so excited about finding a “home that would be for all men, women, and children, or some other perfect ideal for a family.”[7]
I agree with you.

In a couple, in fact, one was looking for a place that would not be lonely. They moved into the same home, which was always the same room and they were always alone. They had children to support them and they did not want to keep them all at home and their kids would have to move to another home that was different than where they were.
Mr. Collins made the whole mistake of giving Elizabeth a place, which he did while he was away, even though he wanted to make sure that she never had children at home.[8] Instead, he made it this far by making it as far as possible for the two of them to live a comfortable and kind home. In other words, as an example, if he wanted two people and him to live with one and Elizabeth to go see her at her place, then it is more likely that the two would live together to a certain point than where they are living together to support the family. So again, it is rational to make this far out of self self-interest or for selfish reasons.[9]
