Argument: Is the high cost of living in California worth it?
Thesis: Yes, the high amount of money it takes to live in San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other major California cities is worth it because of its experience.
Premise 1: California is known for its varying geography and location.

No matter what type of geography people want, they can find it in California.
The north and inland has mountains and ski slopes.
The whole coast of California is made of beaches.
There are many different areas of California that are covered in desserts and areas you can go camping on.

The great location of the state of California also makes it extremely desirable.
To the south, you have the border of Mexico.
Hawaii and its islands are right off the coast of southern California.
Northern California is driving distance from Canada.
Premise 2: Another reason for paying so much to live in California is because California is very diverse.

Since the southern coast of California is so close to Mexico, there are parts of southern California that are influenced by the Mexican culture.

Most of the major cities have authentic Chinatown, like Los Angeles San Francisco.

In popular cities like San Francisco, they have many city blocks that are dedicated to the Italian culture.

As well as many other cultures since lots of people came into America through Angel Island.
Premise 3: Another way to tell if California is worth its cost is the amount of money people spend to vacation here due to the weather.
