I was sitting alone in the cold doctors office when I was 13. The doctor walked in with my blood test results from 4 days before in the emergency after I fainted. The doctor walked in and said that she had the results. As a kid I always looked forward to being a mom which made this news all the harder to take. Dr. Ness explained that I had thyroid cancer and they would have to remove my thyroid gland which produces hormones.
When we remove this you will be infertile.
This was the hardest thing to hear. I was alone and now I felt like I would be alone forever. Because of this sudden news I never felt the need to use birth control because why make that hassle when I was told I could not have children.
When I met Jorge Pelayo my life changed. He was an incredible person who changed my life. After being together for a year and a half we started getting intimate. A year and a half later after no contraception whatsoever I got more shocking news.
On May 10th 2010 I realized that I was six days late. Two days later I told my best friend Meghan. She drove me to the drug store and we bought 3 boxes of pregnancy tests. Out of them I took seven. Six positive tests and one negative. The next day I went to the free clinic by Bellevue College and had blood drawn and the doctor told me I was pregnant.
On the fifth I will be two months pregnant. The morning sickness is the worst thing that has happened so far. I feel nauseous all the time. One of the hardest things I have been through was telling my parents. My dad kicked me out when I told him because he didnt approve of Jorge because he is three years older than me. My mom just didnt speak to me for about two weeks
