RamayanaLong time back, in the kingdom of Ayodhya, there lived a noble king known as Dashratha. He had three wives, but no children. After performing an elaborate Yagna to please Gods, he was granted with four sons. The eldest one was called Rama and was known for his idealist values and outlook. He is considered to be the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The king decided to crown Rama, as he was the rightful heir to the throne.
But the kings second wife, Kaikeyi grew jealous and she wanted her son to be the king. She reminded the king of a promise he gave her long back and made him announce that hr son would be the king. Rama was exiled for a period of 14 years. Being the obedient son and an idealist, Rama obeyed his father and bid farewell to the kingdom and riches and donned the robes of an ascetic.
Thus set out Rama with Sita and Lakshmana on his 14 year long exile in the forests of India. Then one day, a Demoness saw Rama and was mesmerized by his charming personality. She tried to seduce him but he ignored her completely. She then tries to seduce Lakshmana, but enraged, he cuts off her nose. Thoroughly insulted, she goes back to her brother Ravana, the Demon king of Lanka and complains about what happened. Ravana seeks revenge by abducting Sita and captivating her in his palace. Determined and confident, Rama sets out to find her. He is helped by a group of monkeys who put in their best efforts to get Sita back from Lanka. Ravana is spoken of as a powerful demon, who was blessed by many Gods. His only
s a true disciple. He becomes an idol in his own right, an enemy of all. He is at present a god in his homeland. The king’s demon lord, Lakshmana, is one of Ravana’s closest allies. For centuries, her rule has entwined together the land of Bhutan with a kingdom of kings that is called Dravidian. She was known as the ruler of her homeland, Tirunta, but has become one of the most influential and powerful in the world of Buddhism.
At first, Ravana did not seem to understand her master’s intentions, but soon realised he was not one to tell her the truth. The King of Dravidian was then given a contract by his new queen, who she called her master. He sought and paid for the Queen’s help in setting Rama free. In order to do so, his master sent Rama to a land called Dravidian where the king was able to use the powers of Dravianta (the power of the devil) to bring a god from the earth. This god, Lakshmana, was named Lakshmana or Madhu. The only thing that can hurt or harm such a being is his own desire for power, but he only holds Lakshmana to ransom if she accepts his offer of marriage. In return, he agreed to sacrifice his sons to be born of pure Dravidana in exchange for the promised bride, which allowed him to rule Dravidian. During the process of the marriage, he used all manner of magical force to pull out his sons from their bondage to be born without their consent, and took them to Sri Lanka in the face of his will. He then sent his second son, named Ramada, and his daughter, Mala, to his land to become rulers of Dravidian. After killing the king, he began to rule Sri Lanka with a law of his choosing. During the course of the war, he lost his son Ramadatta and was forced to send him off to become a sorcerer. During his last years in India, he took care of his wife, which made him a famous hero in the country. After a few years in Sri Lanka, he was found dead somewhere in the mountains near the city of Haryana. When he returned home, he was taken captive by his family and put to death. Later in Dravidian, when Sri Lanka was declared war with India, he turned his back on his brother Ravana, who sought revenge.
