Nike provides consumer products to billions of people all over the world, and with the Statistical processing control (SPC) software, solid customer support, and technical services will continue to assist Nike in targeting key areas for process improvement, resulting in high quality products and continued success.
And finally improved overall quality, reduced scrap, and reduced overall material usage.
The other respect considering Nikes quality assurance is six sigma. Six sigma is the process for developing and delivering virtually perfect products and service.
With the applying of six sigma once the products of Nike completed, upgrade in process or re-design of Nikes apparel is required.
The way the six sigma theory can be implemented into Nikes Value chain is to train five members in the six sigma process and dispatch them around the organization to all the outsourced manufactures and producers. Through this implementation, value will be added along all aspects of the chain and eventually the final customer
The process helped nike reduce the products defects and come up a higher quality standard.
