In a weekend,I observed a very interesting gesture that people always did it with two hands.At that day I spent time with my friends in a bar at that weekend night,we went into the bar,sat down and asked waiter some beer .Then ,I saw another round table sat around many boys and girls wearing shiny fashionable clothes,look like twenty to twenty-five years old,also ordered some beer and talking with each other joyfully.After a while,a boy stood up,raised his hand and kept his palm face forward to another girl,said “High Five” to that girl at the same time,after that,the girl also stood up faced to that boy,raised her hand,put her palm outward too,and then,they clapped their hands together.Some days after,I asked one of my Canadian friend about this gesture,he told me,that was called “High Five”,not only in a bar,also I can see it at the court,gym,food court even in class,and people often did this to show their excited mood or reach a agreement.We can see “High Five” in some TV programs too,such as an American TV program I have see these days called <>, in this program,there five main characters in it,one of them named “Barney”,every time when Barney had got some exciting news and announced the news to his friends,he always used “High Five” to celebrated it.To conclude,I think,”High Five” was not only occurring in Canada,also appearing in some other countries,it is a common gesture suit for everybody in any age.
