The Revenge of a Former Love
One gloomy day, Carlie Tayche was thinking about Harold Bond again. Harold and Carlie have always had a very unique relationship. At first it was a beautiful blooming flower that seemed so simplistic. As time went on, it was almost like the flower died. Harold became very controlling and somewhat aggressive, but Carlie still continued to love him no matter what. And for this reason, Carlie made a huge mistake. Harold was a spiteful boy with ugly eyes and a skinny physique. He always spoke in a low tone voice with a hint of passiveness. When they first met, Carlie thought that no one would ever acknowledged her or love her. She was a very well kept girl that was always to herself and tried to be kind about every situation. With the great sense of humor that she had, she always could manage a smile on her face no matter what was going on in her life. People looked up to her for that trait.
She was a gentle, optimistic, whiskey drinker with gentle eyes and short hair. Her friends saw her as a bored, bad brute that didn’t have any affection. But they never really knew her past about Harold. Once, she had even helped an old lady cross the road. But not even a gentle person who had once helped an old lady cross the road, was prepared for what Harold had in store today. Carlie walked over to the window and reflected on her creepy surroundings. She had always loved dull Madrid with its old-fashioned, ordinary oceans. It was a place that encouraged her tendency to feel angry and reminisce about the past. It was the bad memories between her and Harold that made her occur to think about the past frequently. Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the a spiteful figure of Harold Bond, Carlie gulped. She glanced at her own reflection in the window to see if this was actually real and couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
The rain drizzled like the world knew what was about to happen, making Carlie worried. The intense wrinkle that was subdued into her forehead stuck out. Carlie grabbed an old kitchen knife that had been stowed nearby; she gripped it with her fingers. She couldn’t believe that the past was walking back to her like nothing had ever happened before between the two former lovers. As Carlie stepped forward and Harold came closer, she could see the scrawny glint in his eye. “I am here because I want affection,” Harold bellowed, in a disturbing tone. She wanted so badly to believe that he was being honest and that perhaps he had somehow changed his aggressive ways. He slammed his fist against Carlies chest, with the force of an angered man. “I just love you so much, Carlie Tayche. I really don’t know what I’d do without you in my life.” Carlie looked back, even more worried and still gripping the kitchen knife. “Harold, I need you in my life,” she replied in a tone to protect herself from him. She knew that she had to say it in order for him to stay under control with his hasty manners that seem to replenish at a rapid rate. Harold looked at her with disbelief and felt whole again. They looked at each other with an odd presence in the air. They both wanted it to be true that they could
