Georgia Obesity Rates RisingEssay Preview: Georgia Obesity Rates RisingReport this essayA big problem in Georgia is its high obesity rate at 28 percent and the number keeps rising. Georgia is ranked 24 of the 50 states and Washington D.C, it is predicted that more than half of the people in most states will be obese by the year 2030. With this predicament the medical cost of obesity related diseases could increase by $44 billion-$66 billion. Obesity related diseases include high blood pressure, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and stroke. $44 billion- $66 billion is an enormous amount of money that could be used for other things. Lowering the obesity percentage can not only save a large amount of money but also lives.

I think this a good article because it explains what would happen in the future if this issue isnt resolved and it also has the opinion of different people such as a pediatrician. With the United States ranked 1st in the world with the highest obesity rate this issue shouldnt just be resolved in Georgia alone but nationally. This is such a big issue because of all the money that is being spent on it, which could be used for important problems. I think the main reason of high obesity rates is the high cost of healthy food and the low cost of unhealthy, fast food. Americans are almost always busy so fast food is usually their first option. In my opinion the best way to solve this problem is to target the youth, so that they grow up with good eating, and exercising habits.

I agree the health insurance companies want to lower the health care cost of their customers, but I am concerned that they will make healthier products and services less affordable if the Affordable Care Act were to pass. Many companies that offer health insurance will spend many dollars on health insurance. I feel the cost of health insurance would be significantly lower when people are healthy. We need to change the market size of employer-sponsored healthcare. Employers that are looking to purchase health plans for their employees are more likely to do so through an in-network provider. Health plans will be better for everyone and help improve access to care for consumers.

It is important to know that an over-all plan could be very expensive. I think this will be important to many people and will require some political battles to win. I believe that a policy that is very expensive but that still leaves a large portion of people at risk will be a real victory. And I cannot see what is more important to the business and will most people that purchase health insurance for at least a few years, get some of that health insurance or not because there is no way they will be able to afford much less.

The next round of Health Insurance Act

There is only one problem, as I believe all stakeholders, in the future should agree their issue could never be resolved. If we do not work together to resolve this problem by the middle of 2018, if we fail to do so then the United States will lose its position as the only industrialized country in the world in health care. No sooner has our country lost its position than people around the globe would have to suffer the consequences.

If it becomes necessary to use the government and the states to force us to do what we see as necessary to save our nation, then the United States has the chance to overcome the problems and we will win this fight.

There is no silver bullet that I can see that provides an adequate way for the government to pay for our health care costs, let alone to provide any quality medical care. We can achieve that result while using the available resources such as public dollars to pay for the services we need, such as education, health education and a strong national insurance system.

The other issue facing this country is growing up. I am not suggesting that any government should abandon this issue. It matters when there is a health care bill that represents the public’s best interest and should not be passed by Congress. I am suggesting that the public do their best to see that legislation pass. We need to focus solely on getting this legislation through Congress and that includes not just the cost of health care, but also the benefits and the quality of the health care delivery we receive. We have a responsibility to keep our people in the best shape and we cannot leave health care to the states and do so at the expense of the economy and our country. At the end of the day, there is nothing that we can do to stop that from happening.

That is why I am calling for the United States Congress to make serious efforts to close
