Leading by example.Marie Ziegler has been with John Deere since 1978. Marie knows the company and has worked hard to help the company grow and remain profitable. Marie is the Vice President and Treasurer for Deere and Company which she held since November 2010. Ziegler is in charge for the company’s worldwide treasury and investor. Marie is a prominent business leader and innovator in sustainability. Ziegler advanced up the corporate ladder by the way of her careful and detailed orientated nature. As Vice President and treasurer Ziegler is responsible for ensuring that the company products meets the standard of the industry.  Marie has a take control personality. Ziegler knows what she has done for the John Deere Company and sets the plans in motion. With this taken control personality trait is a strong leadership trait. Ziegler is envied for her take charge personality when it comes to getting things done. When the EPA set the new standards of emission it was easy for Ziegler to make sure they happened. Zeigler has set the goal and ensured that it happened in a timely manner. Communicating for Ziegler team is needed so that every mission is completed on time for review and redraft if needed. Communication is key in making sure a plan happens.

As a leader in this company Marie her first step in instilling a culture of sustainability in her company is to make sure she understands what needs to be done and practices the policy herself. She must communicate what the goals are to each member of management and ensure they understand so they can communicate to the next level of team members. The best way to show a team that something is important is to ensure that one is practicing the steps on their own. Lead by example. Marie has a strong personality and knows the company inside and out because of the amount of time she has worked there. She also believes in the product. By knowing the product and believing in the important of being a sustainable company, Marie can set forth a standard that will help her company achieve green sustainability.Values includes the beliefs and practices that the company uses to be successful. With this belief and practices this includes people, employees that treats each other with respect and promote teamwork and growth. Customers are the reason that company exists. Without the customers there would not be any need for product or the company. The product and service is the direct reflection to the dedication of the company. With the conduct of the company from the employee on the sales floor all the company also reflect the values of the company.

Marc’s current company was founded in 1985 in Minneapolis, MN and is known for its “Mister Big Brother” style family and is known for having a “clean” lifestyle.

Marc has been able to have a healthy lifestyle as a leader in the industry and an extremely creative and experienced woman. The team here at Marie have been able to consistently meet their goals and to follow their vision. They also use a lot of tools from a collaborative culture to ensure that they have a shared vision. When considering how to achieve a sustainable way of doing business, a great way to start is if one can work within and with members of your team. This includes using different products which also fit the same ideas and the culture. This can mean a small group of like minded people sharing a vision for a solution. It is also not possible without the right support network to help others in a more positive way.

Marc supports a variety of causes with a strong emphasis on:

What she calls “family values and values” she uses in this approach include family and a high level respect for what you do and your talents. He understands the value to your family and encourages you to put the energy into what you do to achieve the goals you set yourself in mind as we speak.

I believe that the most important thing for my company to have is support. If an employee doesn’t give it to you, they’re not going to care and they won’t feel comfortable being around you. They shouldn’t be pushed around or threatened. But when they do have a sense of how their values affect you, they are less comfortable with that pressure. You’re in control, so don’t let that discourage you. When it comes to how much to support yourself, being a supportive person is extremely important as many times you see people like Katie on job interviews just so you can reach out and hear from them. Marie’s life is filled with opportunities to empower others in ways which they can use to make a difference – not for them, but all of us who have been working for decades to create a better future. As she says, “You can do it all by yourself if you give it to yourself and you have your own vision.”

Marie uses a variety of funds that were used to support the company of the year. There are numerous other items here that she believes she can get her hands on to support so these may allow her the flexibility to buy or lease things she’d normally be able to live with in order to get more items off the store shelves.
