Academic Integrity
Academic Integrity      Bre’Anna Hector July 10, 2017 ASU 1101Academic Integrity is the moral code or ethical policy of academia. There are many ways to have Academic Integrity. Academic Dishonesty, Forgery, and Fraudulent Acts are three ways to have Academic Integrity. Academic Integrity has three levels cheating, plagiarism, and fabrication. Cheating is when a student uses or look at other people work without their instructor permission. Using other people work without giving them credit for it. Trying to work with other students and earn credit when it’s independent work. If you break any of these rules you get consequences coming your way.  Plagiarism means to me that someone uses other people ideas and thoughts as their own work. Looking up other sources and claiming it. Plagiarism is wrong because there are many consequences to it such as being expelled, and getting kicked out of college, and going to jail. You should never plagiarize because it is not right using other people information without giving the authors credit from their sources such as web links and books. To prevent from plagiarizing give credit from the sources you use and tell where you got it from. Do your own and earn your grade the right way. In conclusion, Academic Integrity is something you shouldn’t play with. You should take it seriously and do the right thing. Also don’t plagiarize because you will get expelled from school and also go to jail. Do not take that risk and ruin your future do the right thing and you will succeed in life.
