It 244 Intro to It Security – Physical Entry ControlAxia College MaterialAppendix EPhysical Security PolicyAxia CollegeIT/244 Intro to IT SecurityJames LeMasterNovember 6, 20111. Physical Security Policy1.1. Security of the building facilities1.1.1. Physical entry controlsPhysical entry controls can include having doors that are always locked and an access card to gain entry. An intruder alarm and security guard to control access to private entrances and loading docks. Installing a fence around the premises is another way to control entry to the facility; the gate can be left open during business hours and closed when the store is closed. This allows customers to have access the public entrance when the business is open, and keep everyone out when the store is closed. Having lights to properly light the interior and exterior of the buildings is essential for security, it is important to know who is on the premises.
A few common mistakes:
1.1 It is not always easy to make sense of Security policy with information. If I see a security guard or security guard on the premises, it would tell me, well, security is a little tough with this security system, I guess.
2.2 I may know the address of the security group or even the office the security guards walk out in…
3.2 No, that doesn’t happen, security doesn’t happen. You just need to try a little harder when you find a solution, which will ensure that the best system is going to help protect you. If we can figure out how to make some simple changes to the Security Policy or the system to let the customer do their thing (e.g. a security control panel, security cameras, etc). if a solution is available right now, we give it a try.
Also, just be prepared to have a backup plan! If you have just bought a security guard, you are much better off using a simple security guard than a security guard who has a bunch of security holes. I was afraid that the security guard I saw was going to commit some serious violence. I’ve checked security guards I didn’t know before, so I’ll save that information for later.
5.2.1. How is security not only on the premises but on your premises?
(We provide a great place for everyone to work, eat at, drink and have a great time. I mean, that was the best place on the market to work and get that meal I needed!)
At our office, we don’t know who else is on any particular security area, but you can still follow the instructions we give

Human resource department will oversee the issuing of access cards to Sunica employees. These access cards will contain the employee’s picture and name printed on front. The magnetic strip of the card will open the doors of the employee entrance, as well as allow access to the storage room from the sales floor. The access cards will allow security to log who accessed the locked doors and when the access occurred.
1.1.2. Security offices, rooms and facilitiesThere will be a centralized security office to monitor the cameras at all four stores. This will be in a separate locked facility, only accessible to the security team and limited upper management personnel. The central security office will be able to contact the stores to report security concerns to the store security and managers. The stores will also have security monitors located by the registers to help the clerks be aware of the customers’ actions, and in the office to allow the managers to watch the cameras. The office will have an access card lock that will restrict access to the office. The store funds are to be kept in the cash register and the safe. The safe will be in the office.
1.1.3. Isolated delivery and loading areasAny isolated delivery areas should be fenced in as much as possible to deter intruders. Security cameras will be installed, monitored and kept in working condition to track all activity. If possible a loading dock that allows the delivery truck to back up flush to the building can help prevent intruders. Each store has an on-duty security guard that is in charge of verifying the delivery is authentic
