Fringe Show- A Modern Deception
Brief Background

Three artists, known as Magical entertainment uniquely combine comedy and magic. The three talented men provided 1 hour of entertainment with magic illusions, however the show is based around the tactics a magician uses to distract the audience to make the illusion appear truthful.
This show took place in Rymil park, where there are numerous erected enclosed marquees.
Positive Aspects in terms of sustainable Practices
The parklands is a relatively small areas, but the venue had made good use of the space, without overcrowding. The marquees had been strategically placed to allow for crowds to line up outside. In addition, overcrowding practices had been put into place, by needing a purchased ticket to enter. Security guards were also patrolling each entrance to ensure this practice was successfully carried out.
Additionally, the venue illustrates the want to maintain a high level of tourist satisfaction by providing numerous amenities, such as food, drinks and toilets.
The artists are from Victoria, and at the start of the show they give a brief explanation on themselves, which assists in promoting their act to gain further work. The show plays a critical role as a facilitor for the three Australian artists to practice their craft. A large portion of ticket sales go directly to artists, providing positive economic benefits to them. Also the Adelaide Fringe organisation markets the fringe as a whole, representing all artists and venues on neutral grounds, giving each artist equal opportunity. It allows any artists to participate, which gives marketing and economic opportunity for any talent around the world.
Furthermore, such shows add an indescribable atmosphere to Adelaides cultural life. From this, a wide range of cultures are brought together with the opportunity to be freely expressed in an entertaining manner. There are also socio-cultural benefits as it brings people of all demographics together with similar cultural interests.
Fringe Shows, not only provide economic benefit to the artist, but also attract people from both interstate and overseas, injecting money into all stakeholders of the Adelaide Fringe, such as the government, community, tourism industry, tourists and other local businesses. Further to this, a majority of the fringe action takes place at night, giving the tourist the day free to explore Adelaide and therefore increase tourist spend.
