Presidential Campaign Speech
In every school election, people will make long speeches about how they are qualified to be president of their grade. In middle school, I had to sit through speech upon speech as people Id never vote for tried to sway my opinion, and I realized, I should be president, because everyone else is just boring.
I never think about what might come about because of my actions, because I feel its best to live in the present. As Albert Einstein once said, “I never think of the future, it comes soon enough.” He also said “Before God we are all equally wise–and equally foolish.”
Another Einstein quote is “imagination is more important than knowledge” I especially like this quote because Im not the brightest kid around, but my imagination is unlimited. Just the other day I had a dream that I was president, and almost choked on a pretzel. Throughout a boring school day, I often imagine rainbows and unicorns dancing around the teachers heads, singing merrily about dandelions. I also am very introspective about life. Just the other day, I was sitting at home wondering, “Can deaf people burp?”
I also believe in freedom and the rights of the student. One of my favorite quotes is from the movie Braveheart, “They may take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!” As has been said multiple times by famous anonymous people, “Many a boomerang does not return, but chooses freedom instead.” I will get to know the people just as Jesus did, and I will represent you to the my best ability. “Blessed are the students!”
The road to making this school a better place will be long and boring, but I think I can manage it. You can trust me, for I am trustworthy. If I wasnt, then you cant trust me. Think about it, if I was two-faced, would I be wearing this one? One more Einstein quote, “If I had known, I wouldve been a locksmith.”
After listening to my extremely banal speech, I feel you should all get a treat, I will preach to you now from the bottom of my heart:
Four score and seven years ago I had a dream, that in the future, we will all be free. There will be no cliques or social groups. Everyone will either be poor or rich, and by the way were heading Im thinking poor. But we dont
