My Worst & Best Product
Worst Product: Lake Michigan College Financial Aid Department
My first day of enrollment in Lake Michigan College was a disaster. Out of all the departments Ive been through trying to register for Summer 2012, the Financial Aid was the worst department Ive been to. First, I am a new student who does not know anything about Lake Michigan College and how they can help with your tuition. I only know about FAFSA Pell Grant who always helps out pay my tuition but other than that, I know nothing. The minute I walked in the office, there was silence, no one to greet you or ask of how they can be of help. I then ask the first person I came across with of how to go about in completing my financial plan.
The representative only told me to fill in the FAFSA online and that was it, I dont have to worry about anything. Nobody seems to take the time to explain what grants that I can use if I dont have enough money to pay for my tuition or maybe apply for Student Loans and more. There was no communication whatsoever; it shows a poor representation of LMC. I as a student need more from the school then just attending. I would like to be part of an organization that helps individuals understand all kinds of services we offer in order to meet their needs.
Best Product: Andrews University Financial Aid Department
Andrews University was the best service or product Ive experience in my education journey. When I attended Andrews University as a sophomore in Summer 2009, I was worried that I will not have enough financial help from my parents to pay for my tuition. One thing I know about Andrews Financial Department is that each student have a Financial Aid Advisor. The first day I met up with my Financial Aid Advisor he ask me a lot of question regarding my tuition. Knowing the cost of attending Andrews University,
