Internal costs which occur prior to delivery or shipment of the project or the furnishing of the service to the customer is called internal costs quality. It is found by the project. These kinds of costs are almost unavoidable but are necessary for the quality of the products. Examples are the costs of scarp, reworked and re-testing.
External costs are the failure costs occurring after delivery or shipments of the products and during or after furnishing of a service to the customer. The customer finds it. These kinds of costs are also unavoidable. proper examination before the delivery could cut the costs .Examples are the costs of processing customer complaints, customer returns, products recall.
