Self-Assessment Paper
I am a teacher with a burning desire to become a scholarly practitioner. I respect the learning process, and I hope that this experience will increase my value as a change agent. I am a lifetime learner with prior knowledge of small portions of the information that we are exploring in this class. I received my masters degree from Grand Canyon University in 2008. Grand Canyons Professors and support staff sincerity and commitment will provide assistance in my efforts to restore data lost in the accident. There are naturally many reasons this may happen that have nothing to do with academic difficulties. Sometimes, “life happens.” There are life situations that none of us can prepare for and that derail any and all plans we
may have for our careers, education, and future.
The strengths that I bring to the doctoral journey is critical information as stated by Butin(2010), there are obviously many reasons this may occur that have nothing to do
with academic difficulties. Sometimes, “life happens.” There are life situations
that none of us can prepare for and that derail any and all plans we
may have for our careers, education, and future. I started my doctoral process in 2008, and a chance, eliminated my goal of achievement and provided me with a real test of my decision to earn my doctorate.
The areas of development I will need in order to be successful in this doctoral journey that are identifiable at this time are developing my skills in word processing, writing in a clear and consistent manner, developing a working knowledge of SPSS, and re-thinking my time management plans.
The research interest that I bring to this doctoral journey is; developing curriculums charter schools that combine traditional teaching with Socrates theory of expanding knowledge.
The areas that I want to explore are teaching techniques that focus on international school districts. The cultural beliefs, social economic differences, religion, languages, and home life variables must be considered to accommodate the students learning styles. I want to pursue commonalties that would promote a feeling of one group identity.
