There are many types of arthritis, the definition of arthritis is joint inflammation which is one of our body’s reactions to disease or injury arthritis can lead to tissue damage.

Arthritis affects the joints where two or more bones meet harming joint cartilage and surrounding structures, causing inflammation of the joints, pain, stiffness, swelling, that could last for a long period of time. Arthritis can lead to joint weakness, instability, visible deformities; this disease can interfere with basic daily tasks such as personal hygiene, walking, eating, exercising, etc.

Many forms of arthritis can affect the whole body injuring the bodily organ or system, which includes lungs, hearth, kidneys, blood vessels and skin. Arthritis primarily affects the muscles and the bones. The symptoms of arthritis may vary in severity from person to person, may include fatigue, fever, rash, soreness, swelling, inflexibility and tenderness and redness.

Osteoarthritis also known as degenerative arthritis is the most common form of arthritis is caused by the breakdown and loss of the cartilage of the joints, osteoarthritis is generally associated to aging. As we age, the cartilage begins to degenerate in some advanced cases there is a total loss of cartilage between the bones of the joints, and repetitive use of the worn joints over the time can irritate and inflame causing joint pain and swelling. Osteoarthritis commonly affects hips, knees, hands, feet and spine.

Rheumatoid arthritis is also very common, is a long term disease that affects joints in any part of the body but most generally the hands, wrists, and knees. Rheumatoid arthritis causes the joint lining to swell. The inflammation then spreads to the surrounding tissues, and can over the time damage cartilage and bone. In more severe cases, rheumatoid arthritis can affect other areas of the body including skin, eyes, and nerves. Early diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis could help
