Pirates
Essay title: Pirates
Pirate Outline
Intro
If I were to grab your booty, it would be rather offensive im sure. But if a pirate were to grab your booty, it would be a completely different story. That’s because in pirate lingo, booty means something other than rear end. It means treasure. And who doesn’t want treasure? And who hasn’t wanted to walk around shirtless, showing no regard for other people? And im almost positive everyone has acted like a pirate at one point or time, whether it be a few piratey sayings or with an eye patch. And that’s why I feel I should inform you about pirates. The way they talk, the way they dress, and what exactly a pirate is supposed to do. I partake in talk like a pirate day every year, so I feel I am overqualified to talk to you about these misconstrued people. And also….I did research.
Body
Language
first, I would like to talk to you about how to talk like a pirate. Many people think that pirate lingo is just a little accent and throwing in an Arghh here and saying “me” instead of “my”. Strangely enough that’s the same way to talk irish. There are many sayings one can say that are strictly pirate, but yes, you do have to use an accent. I mentioned booty earlier, so I wont go over that one. Ahoy not only comes after a popular and delicious cookie, its also pirate for hello, or hi. Aye Aye means yes sir in pirate. The most popular phrase is argh….which is a term used to show pain or discomfort or to show someone you don’t really like them. Pirates have their own version of pick up lines too. These include Avast, me proud beauty! Wanna know why my Roger is so Jolly?, Id love to drop anchor in your lagoon. And of course, Pardon me, but would ya mind if fired me cannon through your porthole? All of these words were translated by Talklikeapirate.com, which is also where pickup lines came from.
Dress
Dressing like a pirate is very easy to do. Many people have a lot of the ingredients at home, and they might not know it. For Ye Lads
Step 1:Get an oversized tri-corner hat a la Captain Jack Sparrow, worn over a long scarlet sash tied around the forehead. Or sport a skull embellished do-rag around your head.
Step 2:Find a long sleeved shirt in white or black that laces up at the neck. Make sure it also has a nice ruffled neck and sleeves.
Step 3:Fasten a wide belt around your waist with an appropriately large buckle. A wide sash tied around the waist works as well.
Step 4:Pair your ruffled shirt and belt with a pair of black or black striped pants. Either straight legged or baggy will work, as long as you can tuck them into your boots.
Step 5:Complete your ensemble with a pair of black or dark brown leather knee-high boots with a top that folds over. Step 6:Top it all off
