As you read and reply to the topic question, sometimes the instructor posts comments and questions that thread from the response of the topic question.
From that, more students read and reply to those threads and it often becomes asynchronous communication. One must be careful when communicating with another student or instructor through e-mails, faxes or forums because of online etiquette. Since you are not face-to-face with the person or persons you are communicating with, your words could easily be mistaken in tone if no online etiquette is taken into consideration. The best part of distance learning is the feedback you receive from your instructor. When an assignment is finished, the instructor will give you feedback. Feedback is helpful because it can help you to improve your skills from the course at hand. Feedback also can be positive in giving the satisfaction that you understand the concept of the course at hand.

This is a guidebook for people who have been struggling with a specific subject, but can’t really get away from it all. It covers topics such as personal development, relationship building, how to approach others, and class discussions.
This is “hard” because most students will either be uncomfortable on their own or will be very interested in any questions about class or if they should go outside of class. It has many interesting subjects to explore but most of the issues are the student’s own personal experiences, so it is a good read.
