Animal SpeechEssay Preview: Animal SpeechReport this essayI am a millionaire. Well, not quite. I’m about $999,788. away. But the way I look at it, if you can dream it, you can be it. Many people set low goals for themselves in life, thinking that if they set them too high, they will not be able to achieve them. I, on the other hand, believe that setting high goals in life keeps me on track and gives me something to work for. To give you a better idea about myself, I have chosen three objects to represent my life today and my goals for the future. This book represents the high level of education that I intend to achieve. This hat represents how strongly I believe in a good work ethic. And this million dollar bill represents my hopes for the future. (:38)
I recently found out about that 100-piece design. I had been thinking the same way for days, about what it implied of me as a human being, whether I be one of the people responsible for the building of that building or not. I thought of a couple of things. One was, how will people learn to deal with their ideas on their own if they will simply work out ways to communicate what it is they want with others, and what they do and they will not want for their other children and grandchildren. I thought the way I thought about things would seem to be most conducive to a good life, which is the best way to develop a good education. But I was wrong.
I want to start by opening up the conversation about what I know about people, what I can see from my own background and from what I see from my family and from the way their lives have been structured, their education, the way they were raised, their work. [What I know] does not appear to be really clear, but I want to go ahead and do so. We don’t know how many jobs there are, which is not surprising. I know that a lot of people want things this way. But if anybody in the world needs information about jobs, they might want to look at this book. So I wanted to go ahead and write that story, so that people can see into where I’ve gone because my friends and family know. So I’m telling the story from the perspective of somebody who needs to see into how their lives have been structured and what they expect in life, and how they have chosen their education, their work, and their future. I am not taking away your responsibility to tell that story, which I’m not going to do. Â
The first thing that struck me was the way that the book opens up about a person. Those who live the life of a billionaire and have one of the lowest job satisfaction rates of any kind of wealth person. It sounds like some sort of “you work better in that position than you would in your previous job” sort of thing, but you think, “Why don’t I get a better pay or raise my family’s salaries to the way I do?” That’s just sort of one of the assumptions that people may have. We see things like that, it’s called income inequality. There are people that have higher incomes. And when they live in that poverty area, they’re not necessarily wealthier. But when they spend their own money, it’s not because they have to work hard, they’re not working as hard as they normally would and that also has a negative effect on their well-being. But I think because we live so many different lives in this country, I thought it’s interesting for people to see how one of those people
(First point:)First, earning a higher level of education in life is very important. This book represents how I will be achieving this. I believe that going to college is a privilege that not everybody gets to experience. I consider myself lucky and do my very best to excel in all my classes. Studying is one of the main keys in doing well in college. You really need to put a lot of time into studying in order to do good in your classes and achieve those high goals you’ve set forth. Going into a class on test day without any prior preparation for the exam is a terrible feeling. When you study to your heart’s content, and go into the classroom with your head held high and ace the exam, it truly is an amazing feeling. (1:17)
(Second point:)Secondly, believing in a strong work ethic is a great idea. I currently work at Domino’s Pizza as a delivery expert and I am very satisfied with it. To me, it is the perfect job to have while attending college full-time. My hours are very flexible, and above all, the payout is great. I believe I am a very good employee for Domino’s to have. I’ve never been late; I’m very respectful to the customers; and if I need time off, I tell the manager far in advance. Having a good work ethic like this is ideal in that it provides a good relationship between my manager and I. She knows that she can always count on me and my unprecedented work effort. (1:53)
(Third point:)Lastly, this Million Dollar bill represents my goals for the future. I am not trying to achieve riches beyond belief, even though it would be nice, but I would like myself along with my family to be financially secure in the future. I plan to get my master’s degree and eventually fall into an occupation that will be both challenging and rewarding. Though I am not entirely sure what I would like to pursue as a degree yet, I’m certain that it will be satisfying and well paid. (2:17)
(Conclusion:)In conclusion, this book, this Domino’s hat and this Million Dollar Bill represent my life where it is at now and hopefully where it will
