Jazz started its original beginning from the African American communities, down in the southern states. Jazz was a west coast slang and was used to go back to Chicago style of music. The form and the beats of jazz music had an influence on all the different types of music, and it also led people to greater success in the music industry by using Jazz samples. From the great texture of Jazz music it created many other subgenres such as, New Orleans Dixie land, big band style swing, and Bebop .It also magically created Latin-Jazz genres like, Afro Cuban, Brazilian Jazz, and Jazz Rock fusion. During the 30’s Alcoholic drinks was banned from all Speakeasy clubs that led to less grown ups coming into the clubs and more spots for the young ones to come in. As the 30’s began to heat up with all the competition Cab Calloway delivered all top 20 hits like “Minnie the Moocher” and it has heavy use to drug referrals . It used drugs in the lyrics such as cocaine he used Smokey as cokey to refer to cocaine. Nickel and the dime bags were worth 5$, also 10 dollars worth of Marijuana. But as others started to get involved Duke Ellington dropped of his murderous hits like It don’t mean a thing (If it got that swing).The track was also an 1931 hit, it was all arranged and wrote by Ellington in August 1931. The Ellington band played the song over and over again through the years and they also recorded the songs lots and lots of times all through the years as the song became more famous they rose to fame. The 30’s had a big impact with the swing bands it had big band leaders like Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and many more. Swing was also dance music and it had all the clubs hoping with the hottest hits in the U.S.A. But as you went and extended your ears you heard about European Jazz and there artists’ number 1 hits on their charts. Ever since the artist’s albums and records started being sold outside of the United States artists started to make more money. And due to that fact there is no top selling Jazz artists because there are so many tied and to close to having the number one spot .That leads to the big band hall of fame because all artists in the 30’s was in a big band but later was considered to be a solo artists. More than 200 people were rewarded into the big band and Jazz hall of fame, and Kansas City is now all to the American Jazz museum. But other than the speakeasy
