This paper is just a thought about Fahrenheit 451. Bradbury is such an awsome writer, he shows how much society is corrupt. The book talks about how wer are constantly moivng and we can never seem to stop moving, we have to be going some where at some time in our life. The more things we get to help us have more time the more we try to squeeze into that small space. If we have fifteen minuets that might be enough to run to the gas station or get something done. But not all things that we do are important mind you
We spend a lot
of our time infront of the T.V. and that is a problem as well. Instead of spending our time outside and playing sports we spend it infront of T.V. and playing video games, and the problem with that is that the T.V. doesnt teach good morals at all. If thats what we let kids grow up on all they will ever know is violence, and what taught them this? The games they play and the shows they watch teach them that if they dont like something that they should solve it usually
using violence.
The book also shows that, but the problem doesnt
lie just with the kids, many adults do the same thing and they have a problem watching things that shoudnt be veiwed. The kids look up to you as a role model, if they see you doing it then theyre going to think that its ok to watch that show, or some violence or seem some nudity. You just cannot
think that you escape the rule, you need to monitor what you watch and if you do watch bad things, be extremely
careful when you do that your kids dont see you, because the moment they do, they will follow your example and use that against you.
So i guess the basic idea is, spend more time with your kids, get to know them, and go out and play with them. Get them involved in a group or some sports, or somehting they are into. Get to know their personality and support them, it means the world to a child or a teenager to know that their parents/gurdian is their supporting them and knowing that someone cares about what they are trying to do.
Bibliography: Not really one, this is just some thouguhts and feelings i had about the subject and from the book: Fharenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
