Throughout history we have decided how successful our leaders have been through what they have accomplished. In William Shakespeares play, Hamlet, three brave men face and react to their fathers sudden death. These three men, Hamlet, Laertes, and Fortinbras all lose their fathers and now they need to right the wrongs. Also, each of these mens grief is overcome by the need for vengeance. Fortinbras becomes the most successful by staying alive and gaining a massive amount of land. As Hamlet and Laertes each are accomplishing his own tasks, Hamlet dies while protecting Denmark and Laertes gains his honor back.
Each of these mens fathers gets murdered for different reasons and therefore each man wants revenge. King Hamlet killed Fortinbras father and then took the land of Denmark. Laertes father, Polonius was killed by Hamlet accidentally, “How now, a rat? Dead for a ducat, deadÐ O, I am slain! (Act.3 sc. 4 29-30)” Claudius, who is Hamlets uncle, murdered King Hamlet in order to become the King of Denmark. Hamlet then states how he will, “Catch the conscience of the king (Act. 2 sc.2 634).” Each knows the morality of the murders and each needs to write the wrongs of his father. Fortinbras decides to take back the land, while the other men choose to kill. Laertes wants to kill Hamlet and so he says, “if my praises my go back againÐ… for her perfectionsÐ…my revenge will come (Act. 4 sc.7 29-31).” Hamlet also wants to go after Claudius for killing his father and so he talks about, “How all occasions do inform against me and spur my dull revenge (Act.4 sc.4 34-35).” These three men are all certain that these actions are the best way to solve their problems.
These mens grief is overcome by vengeance and as far as Fortinbras his happened to be immediate. Fortinbras gathers his army and, “Craves the conveyance of a promised march over his kingdom
