Every cigarette that people smoke is harmful. Smoking is the biggest cause of preventable deaths in England, accounting for more than 80,000 deaths each year. The toxins make your blood thicker and increase the chances of blood clotting. It also increases blood pressure and heart rate, it makes your heart work harder than normal and narrow your arteries.

Smoking cigarettes has been proven too be extremely dangerous to the health. It causes various forms of cancer and other life threatening diseases. There are over 4,000 chemicals in a cigarette smoke and 200 of those were poisons. Smoking can affect the heart and lungs, skin and the mind. One big area of where smoking harms the body is the heart and lungs. Smokers have a greater chance of developing irregular heartbeats than non-smokers. Blood pressure levels increase as well as the chance of heart attack.
