Caps for Cancer Service Oportunity
MemorandumTo:From: Cynthia SalinasDate: January 3, 2015Re: Caps for Cancer Service OportunityPlease plan to attend our next club meeting on February 8, at which a repesentative from Caps for Cancer will discuss a service opportunity in which we can assist in making caps for cancer patients. In the United States, cancer is the second leading cause of death, exceeded only by heart disease. A common side affect of chemotherapy cancer treatment is hair loss. Providing caps for cancer patients who have lost their hair is a way we can provide support, and at the same time, give them a sense of hope and dignity. As you are aware, Covington Club members are required to complete at least four service hours each month. What better way to fulfill that obligation than to work with a worthwhile cause? The club will meet on Monday in the Stone Lodge, room 213C, at 4:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there and hop you will take advantage of this exciting oportunity to be of service to those in need.
