Comparative and Competitive Analysis of Websites Worksheet
What was your initial impression of the site?
Did you feel bored, overwhelmed, or
confused? I was looking at the website made by Sports Illustrated. I feel overwhelmed with too many sports news. For example, I wanted to see how my team is doing, I opened up Sport Illustrated webpage and it showed so many news. I don’t really care much about the news. I cares so much on scoreboard to see how teams are doing. I can see scores are updated live. It makes me wonder how they update the page and change when a team made a score. The drop down boxes where I can find my favorite team which it is impressive. I was looking at website made by NESN. My impression is not good. When I look at the webpage, the background is completely white. It is little bright for me to read. If they had added light blue background with white font. Maybe it should look good with my suggestion. Again with the news, it is still overwhelming for me with too many news. I still cares about live scoreboard where I can root for my team.

browsers, if multiple browsers were available? All of the browsers looks the same. (Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) All browsers looks the same. (Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome)
Was there contact information immediately available? It took me a minute and half to find “Contact Us” which it is located at the bottom of the page but it was placed differently. At first, I scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the page, I couldn’t find the link. I scrolled up to try to find it, but couldn’t find it. Then I scrolled down to the bottom of the page, I had to take a careful look around the bottom part of the page. After taking a careful look for the link, I finally found the “Contact Us” link. After looking at NESN webpage, I scrolled down to find “Contact Us” link. It was placed perfectly at the bottom of the page. That is where I can look for it, so I can either call or email to the customer service with my questions or where their office is located.
