Carlsbad citizen’s on patrol needs your assistance to minimize these crimes and protect your family, friends, and even you.The Carlsbad Citizen’s on Patrol is a group of individuals, just like you, who volunteer their time to watch the neighborhood. Patrol duties include directing traffic at accident scenes, issuing parking tickets, recovering and transporting found property, providing additional security at pedestrian cross walks and much more. You can work in teams of two and drive a “citizen’s patrol” marked vehicle.  This is your chance to be the eyes and ears for the Carlsbad Police Department to act as deterrent to crime. You can be the patrol that helps reduce crime and eliminate suspicious activity to enhance the quality of life in your community. Citizen’s Patrol draws the community closer together, opens new lines of communication, and forms long term partnerships and friendships. By joining our team, you can provide an important level of service and support to the community as well as the Police Department. Carlsbad Police Department invites you to consider becoming a member of our Citizen’s Patrol team. Citizen Patrol applicants, must be a citizen of the US, at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license and pass a background check.
