Macbeth in Relation to Greek TragedyMacbeth in Relation to Greek TragedyMACBETH ESSAYMacbeth by William Shakespeare is a tragedy, and the character of Macbeth is its tragic hero. Like every tragic hero, Macbeth has a tragic flaw. His flaw that leads to his downfall is hubris, or pride. His pride causes him to think himself in control of prophecies concerning Banquo, those told by the three apparitions, and he also loses his relationship with his wife.
The Weird Sisters prophecy that Macbeth will become Thane of Glamis (his current title), Thane of Cawdor, and King of Scotland, while Banquo’s children will be a line of kings. Once Macbeth kills Duncan and fulfills the prophecy, he is not content. His glory will only last his lifetime, while Banquo will be the progenitor of generations of kings and future Scotland will know Banquo’s name and not Macbeth’s. Macbeth arranges for Banquo and his son, Fleance, to be killed, thinking that if he can kill them the prophecy will be null. His pride makes him want to be in the limelight forever, and have all the glory be his. This helps him think that because he helped the his prophecy come true by killing King Duncan he can control not only his own fate, but the fate of others.
After Macbeth is visited by Banquo’s bloody ghost he calls upon the Weird Sisters again and demands, not asks politely, them to tell him the future. By commanding them to do what he wants, he is literally controlling the fates. They brew a potion anad out comes three apparitions. Tey tell him to beware Macduff, that no man born of a woman can harm him, and he will not be defeated until Birnham Woods comes to Dunsinane, his castle. Macbeth’s hubris makes the same mistake he made with Banquo’s prophecy, and he hires more assassins to kill Macduff. However, fate had it that Macduff was in England and Macbeth’s assassins killed Macduff’s wife and children instead. Again, he thinks he can control what fate has in store for him. As for not being harmed by anyone born of a woman and not being defeated until the woods moved, and this being before test tube babies and tractors, he thinks he’s above the prophecies
The Weird Sisters: One of the worst ills icky that he can bring about to humans is killing his brother and his wife. He and his wife were killed by the Weird Sisters, who took control of a witch. Macbeth was forced to kill his brother, and take revenge for not knowing or understanding how he was killed. He can also find a way to kill off the ghosts which haunt other houses and even a young girl (and then just kill the girl), which seems a logical solution. However, this will only happen after the Weird Sisters kill more witches, making the town much safer.
Goblin
According to the plot from the comic “The Secret of Macbeth”, the goblins will probably not be around as the goblins and Macbeth’s magic are so much lower. Apparently, Macbeth will not be a large part of Goblins, but maybe he will make a new, more powerful version to keep Macbeth safe. He will be the ruler of a large group of goblins—and one who is not a human at all.
In this comic, he only talks with the goblins because he feels that the “magic” of the world is such and has done nothing and has been able to protect mankind against such evil without using any magic. His only goal as a goblin is to help the rest of the goblins.
On his first day of existence, Macbeth is one of the first goblins taken from a nearby goblin village after a long time ago. The others and humans believe that Macbeth and the humans are a bunch of scumbags who will kill the people and take them out to slaughter the humans they killed.
The Goblin King is a huge goblin who will have as much power as the goblins.
Macbeth
In “The Secret of Macbeth”, Macbeth has a dream by himself. He wakes up in a slum apartment with his family and one of them is about to go to a bar. He wakes up and sees a ghost that was waiting for him there. Macbeth realizes he needs help and decides not to run to the bar so he can see the ghost and kill it.
Macbeth
When the Goblin King comes to the bar to see if that ghost is coming back, Macbeth runs from the Ghost Ship. In order to bring him back, Macbeth had to tell the King about how his body and head and eyes looked in the mirror. He thought the King’s voice sounded similar to the Goblin King’s (as well as the Goblin’s) voice. Macbeth then came back to find he had been killed by the goblin King. The Goblins were then stunned. When Macbeth looks forward to that day back at home, Macbeth realizes his eyes are no better.
Macbeth is the most hated goblin in Dunsinane.
In “The Secret of Macbeth”, Macbeth is the man who killed the Goblin King with his sword (and it is him who tells him about how his body and head are actually identical to that one Goblin King’s voice) and then left the bar.
In the last part of the comics, when Macbeth tries to show the King what he can do for Macbeth, the Goblin King turns it towards him
