Philo 5: Christian EthicsEssay Preview: Philo 5: Christian EthicsReport this essay#39 | Tuvera, Diandra Regina B.2B – BiochemistryPHILO 5: Christian EthicsReflection PaperTHE HEARTTHAT FOLLOWED MEHOME        During the previous in our Christian Ethics class, we have discussed the personal acts of human. People in our world are given the chance to decide, and be responsible for our own actions. We are given the chance to protect and destroy the things that surround us. We are given the knowledge to do what is right, and avoid what is wrong. People were given the ability to act without refrain, freedom in our own will, given the fact that we know what we ought to do, and what we want to do.        Our hearts are capable of giving full attention to the things we want to do. Our hearts reflect the decisions we make. The decisions we make reflect our personality, and these represent our capability to do voluntary acts. Most of the time, we make decisions with full attention, and full consent of the will that affects us, as a person, and as a whole.        The story, The Heart That Followed Me Home, Christopher discovered that his heart responds to his own goodness to others. Whenever he is happy, his heart is also happy. Whenever he is laughing, his heart too, is laughing. Whatever he does, his heart also does it too. It gets bigger every time his goodness affects others, giving them the chance to be happy as well.

As I have written in the previous paragraph, our hearts reflect the decisions we make. Our hearts get bigger when our goodness is or was shown towards others. It gets smaller, when the other side of our personality prevails. But, the good part of our individual personalities, we are given the chance to redeem ourselves through Jesus Christ. We remember all the sacrifices He has done for us, and whenever we remember them, our hearts get bigger once again. It gets bigger and bigger everyday, as long as we imitate all His lessons and teachings.        As a child of God, I am given the chance to learn and practice His teachings so I can go back to the right path whenever I do something I know that will disappoint Him and the people around me. His teachings are the only lessons that makes me move forward, and survive the life as a student, daughter, friend and as a whole, a person. Through His teachings, my heart can be redeemed and be whole again.“16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.”
