Although there are several similarities between people living in the city and people living in the country, there are also some very important differences between city residents and country residents which can be compared and contrasted. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The first difference between city residents and country residents is life style. Life style of city residents can be described as hostile and not generally friendly where each family has different and separated opinions and beliefs which lead them to not being community oriented. Additionally, city residents are strayed from kindness and being courteous because many people originate from different regions who come to the large cities; people of different ethnicities and races. Furthermore, city residents have a complicated life and always take precautions with other person whereby they lack trust and companionship so that they find it difficult to believe anyone except those from their family. Unlike city residents, the lifestyle of country residents are rather simple, friendly, and honest. They are more open to the other people around them and are enthusiastic to help others who face day to day and even difficult problems. In addition, country residents are familiar with each other because they were born and grown up together. They share similar values and beliefs and are more community oriented whereas they experience similar cultures and heritage. When foreign people from other places come to their place, they more easily accept and interact with them and are more compassionate to newcomers.
The second difference between city residents and country residents is the living standards. City residents have higher living standards. This is because the people generally have higher incomes that result in higher living standards. In addition, they have the opportunity to earn money more easily but it can be spent easily also. In contrast, country residents have a lower standard of living. They consist primarily of farmers and hand skilled workers who inherit lower income jobs and face lower means of living. Furthermore, country residents fall along the lines of doing harder and more physical work where the majority earn just enough money so they are able buy the necessary things for their daily lives. Farmers can also produce their own foods and materials needed to perform daily tasks and operations which both benefits the farm and the rest of the community. For instance, city residents have high living standards hence live more expensive lifestyles whereby things are costly as compared to country lifestyles. On the other hand, country residents are usually the ones providing for the markets and don’t necessarily rely on foreign products for living as they utilize the natural resources around them for food and clothing.
